Alaska Missionary Helen Klokow Memories

Sister Helen Klokow, former Alaska Moravian Missionary enters the Eternal Kingdom

The Rev. Melvin Klokow and Helen Klokow

Helen Klokow, wife of The Rev. Melvin Klokow, missionary to southwestern Alaska among the Eskimos, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2008 at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  She is now in the eternal kingdom of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Helen was a wonderful supporter of the Alaska Moravian Church.  Pastor Nicholson says that both Melvin and Helen displayed alot of enthusiasum for the Lord's continued work in the Kuskokwim area.  He met them when they visited Bethel, Alaska in 1999 to attend the formal dedication of a new Bethel Moravian Church building.

Sunday School, adult teacher, Carrie Anvil-Kiana and Trustee says of Helen's passing....."I met the Klokows when they came to Bethel in the late 1960s....."

Our Easter Schedule
Easter is a wonderful time of the year!  It is a time to attend Church!  It is a time to visit relatives and friends and do what is right!  Certainly, it is a busy time for Moravians who love the Lord Jesus with services about every day or night, but most of all, thankfully it is a great opportunity to worship our Lord Jesus Christ and together to thank Him for that superlative victory over death and the grave.  To help our Church Membership and friends and visitors of the Church to prepare to celebrate together, here is our 2007 Easter Week Schedule
