Anchorage Moravian Church

Allowing God's Spirit and His Word to touch many lives for Christ among Alaska's Native people.
The love of music and the many musical talents of its members is a blessing not easily forgotten.

If the Holy Spirit is tugging at your heart to worship, come and experience it with us.

You will hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Yup'ik Eskimo, Inupiat and English at our services!
Praise God!

Carrie Kiana Reports on History of WF & Plans for 2007

The Anchorage Moravian Church Women’s Fellowship is a circle of women from the Anchorage Moravian Church congregation.  Our prayer is for the women to unite and to grow spiritually by meeting regularly on a weekly basis.

  • The women meet every Thursday night 7pm at TUMC.
    1. Round robin schedule for officers will open with prayer and song
    2. Spiritual Leader Annie Wassilie leads devotions or she may select a guest speaker to deliver message.
    3. Activities Coordinator Grace Haroldsen selects a song for all women to sing on Sunday afternoon or evening services.
  • The 3rd Thursday of every month is our monthly food drive for selected families from AncMC congregation.
  • The last Thursday of every month, meetings are held at a home bound women’s residence.
  • The outreach schedule is combined with the Anchorage Moravian Church Choir and participate at the CITC Elders Housing Complex for singing and fellowship.

A Meditation After Christmas

GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN

December 26 Meditation

Hymn Stanzas by John W. Work, 1871–1925

Moravian Candle Service Dec. 24, 2006
You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!”
(Isaiah 40:9)

For many people, another Christmas season is merely a rerun of the trivial and the sentimental. But for the devoted Christian, Christmas is much more than a once a year celebration. It is a fresh awareness that a Deliverer was sent from the ivory palaces of heaven to become personally involved in the redemption and affairs of the human race. The impact of this realization becomes a strong motivation to share the good news with needy and desperate people who need to know that there is an Emmanuel available who can meet their every need. Men everywhere must hear these glad tidings if they are to benefit from them. With absolute clarity they must hear the message, “Here is your God!”

2005 Women's Fellowship Report
The Women's Fellowship group of the AncMC are the unsung heros.  They meet weekly, pray for the needs of the Church, contribute fund raisers and make up a significant portion of a very active and spirit-filled singing choir.  During 2005 this group grew in service to God and man.  During January 21, two of the Women of the Fellowship group, Sisters Carrie Paton and Carrie Kiana will attend the Provincial Women's Fellowship meetings in Bethel, Alaska.
